They’re young, educated, angry – and they’re women. They are prominent leaders of a social movement in Colombia which is fighting against a mine proposed by Africa’s leading gold mining outfit, London-listed AngloGold Ashanti. Now they’re waiting to hear whether their protests will be recognised by the powers that be.
