Court Upholds Injunction by Peruvian Torture Victims Freezing Assets of British Mining Company

Peru Support Group and CAFOD Statement
On Friday 16th October a High Court decision upheld the injunction to freeze the assets of British mining company Monterrico Metals. Mrs Justice Gloster ruled that the Claimants had a ‘good arguable case’ against Monterrico and that company assets of £5 million should remain frozen.
