London-based GCM Resources Plc has appointed a Malaysian ‘lobbyist’ to get the approval of the government of Bangladesh for exploration of the Phulbari coalmine. The company had failed to get approval from the relevant authorities to exploit the coalmine over the past decade. Sources said the appointment of Mettiz has been conveyed by the GCM to the London Stock Exchange (LSE) which was also informed that its bid to get the approval ‘has also been intensified afresh’.
