In the wake of the recent Global Divestment Day, the London Assembly has called on Mayor Boris Johnson to pull Greater London’s investment’s out of coal, oil and gas.
UK newspaper The Guardian recently launched its Keep It In The Ground Campaign, calling for fossil fuel disinvestment. The United Nations has also called for disinvestment.
Momentum is building – and as more countries turn against coal, producers face prolonged weakness in prices.
