Rainforest Information Centre in Australia has launched an email campaign to protect Niyamgiri, a sacred mountain in Orissa, India, the Dongria Kondh, an indigenous tribe who worship this mountain as their god as well as the elephants, tigars and leopards who live there. Please visit http://www.niyamgiri.net where, with a few clicks of the mouse, you send emails to Indian decision makers.
Forests.org has launched a similar email campaign to protest to banks investing in or lending money to Vedanta. See http://forests.org/shared/alerts/send.aspx?id=india_mine.
