London-listed African Barrick Gold said that its profit fell by 8% to $39,9-million in the third quarter, after production from its mines in Tanzania declined. The group’s overall gold production dropped with 23% to 164 996 oz, compared with the corresponding quarter in 2009, when it produced 213 819 oz.
