The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the central government and the Election Commission seeking a directive for a probe into the Congress and the BJP parties allegedly accepting donations from subsidiaries of the Vedanta Group. The Representation of the People Act prohibits political parties from taking donations from government companies and from foreign sources.
