Mine workers from the Sintracarbon union at the Cerrejon coal mine in Colombia were in Britain last month for the Anglo American AGM, the Scottish Trade Union Congress meeting and meetings of IndustriALL global mine workers’ union.
Sintracarbon is supporting Indigenous Wayuu people and small-scale farmers of African descent in calling on the Cerrejon Coal Company (owned by London-listed Anglo American, BHP Billiton and Glencore) not to divert one of the arid area’s water courses to get at more coal.
Please support this joint campaign by taking our online action aimed at the CEOs of the London-listed multinationals.
