We are delighted to announce Organising for Power!
📅 Monday 2 June, 6pm
📍 UCL, Landscape Architecture, Room G04, 77 Wicklow Street, WC1X 9JY
In this conversation with Aviva Chomsky, various London-based social movements will discuss their experiences and challenges in organising, and how diverse skills from civil society, such as graphic design, are key to supporting the movements.
Historian Professor Aviva Chomsky is the Coordinator of Latin American, Latino and Caribbean Studies at Salem State University in Massachusetts, United States. Aviva has been active for several decades in solidarity movements with Palestine and Latin America and in the United States for immigrant rights. She is the author of multiple books, and co-editor (with Steve Striffler) of “Organizing for Power, Building a Twenty First-Century Labor Movement in Boston.”
The event is organised in partnership with the Bartlett School of Architecture.
