Management at Chile’s Doña Ines de Collahuasi copper mine is still working on a proposal to be offered to striking workers who may want to return to work by the end of the week. Collahuasi, which produced 535,000t of copper in 2009, is controlled by London-listed Xstrata and Anglo American, each with a 44% stake.
