The Co-operative Bank turned down almost £100m of business last year for ethical and environmental reasons. Business totaling £97.3m was rejected, including applications for finance for missile equipment to go to oppressive regimes, banking services for a cleaning products manufacturer that tested on animals and lending for the development of two new UK coal mining operations.
