Or – as the illustrious Sir Julian Horn-Smith would have it when rudely interrupting four protesting shareholders last week – avoid the “ranting” and get to the “substance” of the arguments. In fact, there were several important points these shareholders wanted to raise about the woeful behaviour of Bumi plc at its London annual general meeting on June 14th.
