Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper was met by a large crowd of protesters from 30 environmental and human rights groups when he visited London yesterday.
Five activists were arrested after blocking the entrance to Harper’s speech and scaling the roof of Parliament.
Six MPs tabled an Early Day Motion to keep tar sands out of Europe.
Harper was criticised for using the trip to lobby against EU climate legislation and spread misinformation.
