The Wayuu community of Tamaquito II was forced to relocate by the expansion of the coal open-cast Cerrejón mine owned by Glencore. Since their relocation, the community has been trying to recover its autonomy and to keep alive its cultural wisdom and traditions. In doing that, they need support for the ethno-education programme to ensure their language and culture are not lost for the new generations.
Please consider supporting Tamaquito II and their ethno-education programme. Follow the link to the fundraiser.
